NATIONAL
TRUCK SHOW
Turn truck into a traffic-stopper
It’s 21st
century, and people keep on truckin’. While pickups and vans seemingly
have gone from work to play, they’re still doing double duty making
the big haul, from carting cargo to car-pooling the kids.
To make new
and old truck louvres more comfortable, there are many aftermarket
options available to enhance and beautify without draining your
wallet.
Allan Starkman
of Tint King® sees people switching from sedans to SUV's.
He says people enjoy having it all in one package: luxury, comfort,
safety and in the case of 4X4’s, never being stuck in mud or snow.
As today’s cars downsize, he says people are growing into vans
and trucks.
And what will
this year’s best-looking trucks be wearing? Window tinting, sunroofs,
running boards, spoilers, lots of windows, lots of chrome, bed
liners, roof racks, ladders, big tires, fancy rims and lifetime
shines, according to Starkman.
Tint King®
offers the following suggestions to enhance your truck or van.
Window tinting
provides glare-free vision and saves money on air conditioning
costs. Scratch resistant films are the best. See a professional
tint shop with a legitimate guarantee.
For a carefree,
convertible feeling, drive topless with a sunroof and sliding
windows, in a choice of all shapes and sizes, from small roof
vents and side ports to skylit ceilings that open at the push
of a button. If you really want to enjoy the scenery on your next
vacation, you can install a greenhouse effect by adding tinted
bay windows on the sides.
Running boards
and side steps are great for getting up into your big beauty,
whether you’ve built yourself a monster crusher or a low rider,
they are dynamite, especially with optional lights.
A chrome roof
rack comes in handy when carrying cargo and a rear ladder on the
van helps put it up there.
To keep you
hugging the road on the curves, try on a set of low profile tires
installed on shiny rims.
Spoiler packages
are available for aerodynamic looks and a front roof visor on
any pickup or van does wonders. Add some bolt-on flares and you’re
one low rider.
If you want
to start your own small towing business or help out a fellow motorists
in distress, a winch could come in handy for those real mud boggers.
To save the
inside floor from scratches and dents, an inexpensive truck mat
or bed liner should be installed. It saves unnecessary body work.
The entire
vehicle should be sealed in a polymer permanent shine to give
your vehicle a lifetime shiny-penny look. For those that like
to see and be seen on the road, the addition of fog or driving
lights installed in the grill or on a roll bar lights your pathway
down the open highway.
